The Law Library is open to registered undergraduate students, postgraduate and staff of the University of the West Indies. A valid UWI ID is required to gain access to the library.

UWI Cave Hill students studying law are required to attend an orientation session before registering to use the library. These orientation sessions are held during the first two to three weeks of the academic year, depending on demand for the sessions.
  Non-UWI users include members of the general public, private practitioners, accounting firms, other organisations and government departments given written permission by the Law Librarian. Permission is not given automatically and may be denied to persons who on previous occasions have failed to abide by the Law Library’s rules or have been uncooperative and discourteous to Law Library staff.  A Non-UWI user who wishes only to use the Law Library has to pay an annual fee of BDS$300.00. Non-UWI users, both overseas and local, must deposit a sum of BDS$200.00 to a deposit account. The cost of any copying done on their behalf is deducted from this account. When the amount in a deposit account reaches BDS$75.00 a Non-UWI user is asked to provide another BDS$125.00.
