{"id":68,"date":"2019-08-16T13:59:09","date_gmt":"2019-08-16T17:59:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.cavehill.uwi.edu\/law\/conferences\/"},"modified":"2026-02-05T22:26:20","modified_gmt":"2026-02-06T02:26:20","slug":"conferences","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.cavehill.uwi.edu\/law\/news-notices\/conferences\/","title":{"rendered":"Conferences"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"container-fluid page-wrapper\">\n<section>\n<div class=\"lc-block\">\n<div editable=\"rich\">\n<h1 class=\"page-header\">Law Conferences Home<\/h1>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<div class=\"lc-block\">\n<div editable=\"rich\">\n<p>\t\t\t\tAs part of its mandate for continuing legal education and continuing professional development, the Faculty of Law hosts a variety of courses, conferences, workshops and colloquia.&nbsp;<br \/>\n\t\t\t\t&nbsp;<br \/>\n\t\t\t\tOur annual conference is the Caribbean Commercial Law Workshop.&nbsp; Initiated in 1999, the Caribbean Commercial Law Workshop is the region\u2019s premium corporate and commercial gathering.&nbsp; Each year the Workshop is organised around a particular legal theme or topic and brings together a wide range of legal academics, legal practitioners, and business leaders from across the Caribbean. &nbsp;The workshop takes place over a period of three days, usually in July or August, commencing with an evening reception and following with two full days of panels.
