This workshop invites legal scholars, practitioners, policymakers, and technology enthusiasts to explore how Caribbean commercial law can respond to these disruptions, not merely through adaptation, but through bold reimagination. This workshop seeks to interrogate the colonial foundations of Caribbean legal systems and explore decolonial alternatives to the current commercial landscape in the region; foster dialogue on resilience, innovation, and inclusive legal reform; examine how emerging technologies (AI, blockchain, fintech) are reshaping commercial law and how Caribbean practice can adopt such technologies ensuring the region does not fall behind in this rapidly evolving field; and to promote regional collaboration in shaping future-ready commercial legal frameworks. <\/p>\n<p>Proposed Panels: <\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Digital transformation in Caribbean Legal and Commercial Systems<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Reimagining Regulatory innovation in fintech, data privacy, and e-commerce in the age of AI<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Climate Change, Climate Finance and Legal Resilience <\/p>\n<p>\u2022 The Role of Courts in Commercial Transformation <\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Caribbean Commercial Law and Practice in the age of U.S. Hegemony <\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Decolonial approaches to Investment, trade, finance, and governance <\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Rethinking Legal Education in the Age of Disruption <\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Disruptive Technologies in Maritime and Trade Law <\/p>\n<p>\u2022 The Impact of E-Commerce Growth on Caribbean Commercial Law <\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p><strong class=\"text-danger\">Call for Papers &amp; Save the Date <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Persons are warmly invited to submit paper proposals for the Workshop. All proposals must contain the full name and contact details of the presenter, the proposed paper title, and a short abstract of the paper topic (250 words maximum).
