Senior Lecturer/Lecturer in Transportation Engineering

Qualifications and Experience
The successful candidate must possess at minimum, a PhD from a recognised university, in Transportation Engineering or a closely related field, with a B.Sc. (Honours) in Civil Engineering or Civil and Environmental Engineering, or an equivalent/related Engineering discipline.
Candidates should also possess:
- At least three (3) years’ teaching experience at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels, at a recognised tertiary institution/university, in the field of Engineering or a closely related field.
- A substantial record of academic research output and publications in reputable peer reviewed journals, particularly in the area of Transportation Engineering or equivalent/related field
- Familiarity with commercial and open-source transportation analysis and modelling software, together with the planning and design of transportation systems
- Expertise in the areas of planning, design, operation, management, analysis or sustainability of transportation systems
- Strong expertise in Machine Learning, Simulation and Modelling
- Strong expertise in Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS)
- Expertise in one (1) or more of the following areas:
- Traffic Engineering
- Transportation Planning
- Sustainable Mobility
- Transportation Safety and Security
- Public Transportation Systems
- Informal Transportation Systems
- Transportation Asset Management
- Traffic Operations and Traffic Flow Analysis
Candidates with the following would have an advantage:
- Experience in the supervision of student research projects at Bachelors or Masters or Doctoral level
- A good record of industry interaction to provide practical industry experience to students
- Evidence of academic research and professional interests in the areas of Contemporary Transportation Engineering and/or Emerging Transportation Technologies
- Research expertise in Transportation Engineering relevant to Small Island Developing States (SIDS)
