The Caribbean Institute in Gender and Development Studies (CIGAD) is the region’s premier gender and development certificate programme. Administered biennially by the Institute for Gender and Development Studies: Nita Barrow Unit (IGDS: NBU), the programme strengthens the capacity for promoting the well-being of women and men by building feminist knowledge and imparting the skills of gender analysis by introducing participants to the theoretical and methodological approaches to gender relations. The curriculum is designed to impart specific knowledge and skills relevant to solving the social, economic and political challenges facing Caribbean societies.
