Dr. Rock 'Connects the Dots' on Ageing
Edited by Professor Patricia Mohammed and Dr. Cheryl-Ann Boodram, the collection was launched virtually on June 26, 2020, and featured Dr. Rock as a guest speaker. The event was hosted by Christine Randle, Managing Director of Ian Randle Publishers.

“Connecting the Dots: Work. Life. Balance”, was created out of a three-year research project conducted in the Caribbean through a mixed-methods approach, including talking circles, time-use journals, and in-depth interviews, Connecting the Dots delves into issues that examine the breadth of adulthood. Issues such as stress, caregiving, gendered division of familial labour, the labour market, growing older, illness, and death are discussed. Dr. Rock’s chapter focuses on the Barbadian experience of ageing.

The interdisciplinary book provides a wealth of information to those seeking knowledge about dementia, ageing, the future of work, as well as those needing to find answers on the issues they are contending with on work and caring fronts. It hopes to be a change agent for policies and practices towards healthier lifestyles and humane attitudes to our ageing populations.
