The ACS Cave Hill Student Chapter brings together students interested in the study of chemistry, innovation and the discovery process. It provides a place for members to collaborate and engage in discussions about various areas within the chemical sciences. The American Chemical Society (ACS) is one of the largest and most respected scientific societies in the United States. As such, through being part of this organization, members will be able to take advantage of services which include discounted prices on membership to the ACS, access to resources designed to promote jobs in the chemical industry (job boards) and provide assistance when preparing resumes, attending conferences sponsored by the ACS, accessing peer-reviewed articles published in ACS journals and magazines, applying for scholarships to fund further studies, developing relationships with scientists working throughout the chemical sciences and creating a network of peers that extend far beyond Cave Hill. Through interactive seminars, mentorship programmes, and hands-on laboratory experiences, the Chapter works to deepen members' knowledge and support their professional growth. In the future, the Chapter intends to collaborate with other student organizations to deliver outreach initiatives focused upon enhancing public awareness of science education and highlighting the many career options available in the chemical sciences.
