A Journey of Dedication and Expertise
Since joining the FST Faculty on August 1, 2017, Lisa-Ann has tirelessly assisted the Dean, Deputy Deans, Heads of Departments and Project/Programme Coordinators in managing a multitude of initiatives, events and outreach activities. Her role is crucial in organizing workshops, conferences and symposia, ensuring that the Faculty's vision and goals are met with precision. Lisa-Ann’s keen attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills shine through her ability to handle everything from meeting minutes to drafting correspondence, liaising with external stakeholders, and managing the Faculty's social media presence.
Prior to her current role, Lisa-Ann honed her administrative expertise as a Stenographer/Clerk (Secretary) in the Centre for Resource Management and Environmental Studies (CERMES) for a decade, where she supported various significant projects related to environmental conservation. This foundation has equipped her with a comprehensive understanding of the administrative processes that drive the Faculty’s success. Additionally, she spent eight (8) years as a Stenographer/Clerk (Secretary) in the Maintenance Department (now INPLAIS) at The UWI, Cave Hill Campus. In this capacity, she excelled in maintaining the department's filing system, handling communications, and interacting with a diverse range of stakeholders, from vendors to students. Her meticulous attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively further solidified her administrative acumen, ensuring the smooth operation of essential services across the campus. This diverse background has provided her with a robust skill set that enhances her contributions to the FST Faculty.
A Catalyst for Collaboration and Community Engagement
Lisa-Ann's contributions to the University are multifaceted. She has played an active role in numerous committees and projects, including the Planning Committee for the Science and Technology Festival held annually during the month of March (from March 2019), and she has been instrumental in organizing eleven (11) monthly historic parish hikes and two (2) historic bus tours as part of The UWI Cave Hill Campus’ 60th Anniversary Celebrations. Her work extends to facilitating communication between student associations and organizing outreach activities that engage the community, demonstrating her belief in the importance of collaboration.
Her recent achievements, such as the Principal’s Award for Excellence in the Administrative, Technical and Service (ATS) Staff category in 2023 and the Faculty of Science and Technology (FST) Faculty Excellence Award in 2024, reflect her unwavering dedication and the respect she garners from her colleagues. Lisa-Ann’s excellence is not just a one-time occurrence; it is a continuous thread woven through her daily work and interactions.
A Vision for the Future
Lisa-Ann's academic credentials, including a Master’s degree in Management Studies with Distinction and a Bachelor’s degree in the same field, reinforce her capability to manage complex projects and initiatives effectively. Her pursuit of excellence is evident in her commitment to ongoing professional development and her role as a mentor within the University community.
As she looks forward, Lisa-Ann aims to leverage her skills in new ways, continuously seeking opportunities to improve the Faculty’s initiatives and foster a culture of excellence among her peers and students alike.

This philosophy drives her work ethic and inspires those around her to strive for greatness.
