The Department of Computer Science, Mathematics and Physics (CMP) invites you to attend their upcoming lunch time seminar “Back-End Development: Self-Documenting API's in Python” hosted by Ian Barrow. This seminar introduces participants to best practices for developing web API's in a containerized environment. It will show how to rapidly iterate a database-driven Python web application with data models managed through an ORM and how to create an interface for this data through a self-documenting API. Participants will be provided with a step-by-step, code-based tutorial, and will leave the session with the ability to build basic data models and expose these to external applications for read and write operations.
