Departmental Prizes<\/h1>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
The Graham Gooding Biology Prize<\/strong><\/p>\n
\t\t\tThe prize consists of a commemorative scroll and voucher for BDS $1000.00<\/strong> in cash or for the purchase of educational or professional development equipment and supplies. It will be awarded to the best student majoring in Biology based on the student\u2019s performance (minimum B+ average) in BIOL courses.<\/p>\n
\t\t\tR.L. Seale & Company Ltd Prize in Chemistry<\/strong><\/p>\n
\t\t\tThis prize consists of a book voucher of BDS $1000.00<\/strong> in cash. It is awarded to the best performing student majoring\/double majoring in chemistry with a minimum grade of A- on the basis of performance in the advanced Chemistry courses.<\/p>\n
\t\t\tPfizer Caribbean Limited (PFL) Prize in BIOCHEMISTRY<\/strong><\/p>\n
\t\t\tValued at BDS $500<\/strong>, it is awarded to the best performing student majoring in Biochemistry with a minimum grade of A- in the courses used for the Biochemistry major.<\/p>\n
\t\t\tLouis Chinnery Ecology Prize<\/strong><\/p>\n
\t\t\tA commemorative scroll and a voucher for BDS $900.00<\/b> to be used in the purchase of books related to the Biological\/Ecological\/ Environmental Sciences. Awarded to the best student majoring in Ecology with a minimum B+.<\/p>\n
\t\t\tThe Mount Gay Distilleries Prize in Microbiology <\/strong>
\n\t\t\t
\n\t\t\tBDS $800.00<\/strong> is awarded to the best performing student majoring in microbiology with a minimum grade of A- in the courses used for their Microbiology major.<\/p>\n
\t\t\tThe Hugh Sealy Prize for Excellence in Environmental Science<\/strong><\/p>\n
\t\t\tThe prize consists of of a cash prize of BDS $1000.00<\/strong> plus an internship honorarium of BDS $1000.00<\/strong>. Awarded to the best performing student majoring in Environmental Science with a minimum GPA of 3.6.<\/p>\n
