<u><strong>continuing students<\/strong><\/u> in the <u><strong>Faculty of Social Sciences <\/strong><\/u>and the<u><strong> Faculty of Sport<\/strong><\/u> who commenced studies in (September 2025) and <u><strong>are required<\/strong><\/u> to write the MPT (please click<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cavehill.uwi.edu\/fss\/econ\/students\/mathematics-proficiency-test\/mpt-details.aspx\"><strong> here<\/strong> <\/a>for information on exemptions) are hereby informed that the test will be held at Cave Hill Campus on:<br \/>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div><strong><span style=\"background-color: rgb(255, 255, 0);\">MONDAY, APRIL 13 ,2026<\/span><br \/>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<span style=\"background-color:#FFFF00;\">FROM 10:00 A.M. \u2013 12:00 NOON&nbsp;<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\t\t\t\t\t\t&nbsp;\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/p><\/div>\n<div><strong><span style=\"color:#FF0000;\">IN MICRO LAB 5 (ML5) \u2013&nbsp;ROY MARSHALL TEACHING COMPLEX,<br \/>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tCAVE HILL CAMPUS<\/span><\/strong><br \/>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: left;\">All candidates are required to pay a <strong>BBD 50 (USD 25)<\/strong> fee before registering for the MPT.<\/div>\n<div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<span style=\"color:#FF0000;\"><strong>Candidates are permitted to attempt the MPT only ONCE<\/strong><\/span>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: left;\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\u2022 Upon completion of registration, candidates are required to complete the online practice quiz to ensure that they are familiar with the online system before the test date.&nbsp;<br \/>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\u2022 The Department of Economics will provide you with the necessary information to take the test once registration has been completed.<br \/>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div><strong><u>How to pay for the test<\/u><\/strong><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: left;\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\u2022 Candidates can pay the MPT fee online by clicking&nbsp;<u><a href=\"https:\/\/secure.touchnet.net\/C24201_ustores\/web\/store_main.jsp?STOREID=5\"><strong>here<\/strong><\/a><\/u>.&nbsp;<br \/>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\u2022 Payment can also be made in person at the Cashier in the Administration Building at The UWI, Cave Hill Campus.<\/div>\n<div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<u><strong>How to register for the test<\/strong><\/u>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: left;\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\u2022 After paying for the test, candidates are required to complete the online registration form.&nbsp;<br \/>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\u2022 Click <u><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cognitoforms.com\/UniversityOfTheWestIndiesCaveHillCampus\/FacultyOfSocialSciencesMathProficiencyTestRegistration\" title=\"here\"><strong>here<\/strong><\/a><\/u> to access the form.<br \/>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\u2022 Once the form has been submitted you will receive an email from the Department of Economics with information regarding the test.<br \/>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div><span style=\"color:#FF0000;\"><strong>The registration period is from Monday, March 16 \u2013 Friday, March 27, 2026<\/strong><\/span><\/div>\n<div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<u><strong>Other relevant information<\/strong><\/u>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: left;\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\u2022 Topics covered on the test, FAQ\u2019S and the dates for the next available sitting, can be viewed&nbsp;<u><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cavehill.uwi.edu\/fss\/econ\/students\/mathematics-proficiency-test\/mathematics-proficiency-test.aspx\"><strong>here<\/strong><\/a><\/u>.<br \/>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\u2022 For general information, please email the Department of Economics at: economics@cavehill.uwi.edu<\/p>\n<p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<em><strong>The University of the West Indies<br \/>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tCave Hill Campus<br \/>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tMarch 2026<\/strong><\/em>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Students N O T I C E MATHEMATICS PROFICIENCY TEST (MPT) &nbsp;
