This is the island&#8217;s only public hospital and main training facility.<\/p>\n<p>There are a number of internship opportunities available to international students at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital. Interested persons should be aware of the following guidelines:<\/p>\n<p>1. Incoming elective students must be enrolled in the 4th or 5th Year of an approved and accredited undergraduate medical programme<\/p>\n<p>2. Clerkship rotations run for a minimum of 4 weeks<\/p>\n<p>3. The following disciplines currently accept elective students &#8211;\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Accident &amp; Emergency<\/li>\n<li>Anaesthesiology<\/li>\n<li>Child Health<\/li>\n<li>Community Health<\/li>\n<li>ENT<\/li>\n<li>Family Medicine<\/li>\n<li>General Medicine<\/li>\n<li>General Surgery<\/li>\n<li>Obstetrics &amp; Gynaecology<\/li>\n<li>Ophthalmology<\/li>\n<li>Orthopaedics<\/li>\n<li>Pathology<\/li>\n<li>Psychiatry<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;4. The following fees will apply:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>US$100.00 Application fee (non-refundable fee for all applicants)<\/li>\n<li>US$200.00 per week for an elective period of up to 8 weeks<\/li>\n<li>US$300.00 per week for an elective period in excess of 8 weeks, and to a maximum of 12 weeks<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>5. Expressions of interest in <strong>QEH electives<\/strong> should be submitted via this <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cavehill.uwi.edu\/fms\/programmes\/electives\/electives-form\/\"><strong>online form \u00bb<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>6.
