Bio
Dr. Sealy is the Chief Nursing Officer in the Ministry of Health and Wellness from 2013 until present, but is on temporary assignment to UWI, FMS for the current academic year. She has also served as the Deputy Chairman of the Regional Nursing Body, Training Coordinator with the Caribbean HIV/AIDS Regional Training (CHART) Barbados, HIV/AIDS Programme of the Ministry of Health, Barbados.
She was a Tutor at the School of Nursing, Psychiatric Hospital, and the Barbados Community College, as well as being an active member of the Barbados Nurses Association and the Board on the Caribbean Nurses Organization and the Caribbean Partnership of Nurses for AIDS Care. She is currently a member of the Human Resources and Management Association of Barbados (HRMAB).

Research Areas
There is a keen interest in the management of and planning for human resources in the health sector among nursing professionals, as well as issues related to the coordination and implementation of policy initiatives at all levels. Research into developments in nursing education and migration are also important. In 2011, she published the summary report of the findings of this study entitled “A Synopsis of Nurse Migration in the Caribbean: The Case of Barbados: Implications for healthcare, the nursing profession and nursing education”.
