Bio

Dr. Joanne Paul-Charles joined the medical faculty at Cave Hill Campus as a part-time tutor in 2009, then a year-4 MBBS clinical supervisor in 2012, and full-time faculty in 2014. She received her undergraduate medical training at Mona Campus and Cave Hill Campus and is a graduate of the Cave Hill Campus, UWI class of 1999. Post-internship she worked as Senior House Officer in Internal Medicine at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, then went on to pursue postgraduate training in Family Medicine and received a Doctor of Medicine degree in 2011.

As a Family Medicine Physician, Dr. Paul-Charles has many years of experience, working in general practice and primary care, both in the Ministry of Health community clinics and private practice. She is actively involved in teaching and clinical supervision, both at undergraduate and postgraduate level, and postgraduate research supervision.
