Bio
Dr Alleyne is an American Board of Internal Medicine certified Internist, with subspeciality qualifications in Pulmonary medicine and Critical Care. Currently the Head of the Department of Internal Medicine at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, she is also the Head of the Respiratory Unit at the institution. Over the course of the last five years most of her time has been spent practising pulmonary medicine which involves inpatient and outpatient consultations, diagnostics including performing bronchoscopies and thoracenteses. Mentoring and teaching of the internal medicine residents who are assigned to the Pulmonary service also accounts for a significant portion of her time.
