The BSc. Preclinical Sciences consists of 109 credits. Courses include the following:

- Fundamentals of Disease and Treatment
- Introduction to General Embryology and Histology
- The Locomotor System
- Introduction to Medical Practice
- The Urinary System
- Clinical Haematology
BSc Preclinical Sciences (Phase 1)
UWI Registration Fees – US$555.00 per year

Tuition Fees – US$32,500 per year (Partial Tuition Scholarships available).
Housing and Maintenance – approximately US$10,000 per year
Applicants may present a range of qualifications, including:
1. West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE)
Passes in three (3) core and three elective subjects inclusive of:
- Core Mathematics (core)
- English (core)
- Integrated Sciences (core)
- Chemistry
- Physics
- Biology/Elective Mathematics
2. GCE O’ and A’ Level or CXC CSEC and CAPE equivalents
Passes in a minimum of five (5) CXC CSEC subjects of general proficiency (Grades I-III) or GCE O’ Level (Grades A-C) inclusive of:
- Chemistry
- Physics
- Biology
- Mathematics
- English Language
Passes in four subjects at A’ Level or four two-units of the CAPE equivalents in:
- Chemistry
- Physics
- Biology
- Mathematics
3. International Baccalaureate (IB) Programme
Students must have passes in IB subjects equivalent to the entry criteria established for GCE A ‘Level/CAPE subjects.
