
The Doctor of Medicine (DM) General Surgery Programme trains applicants to be general surgeons able to operate independently on completion of the programme. The programme emphasizes heavily the development of clinical and technical operating skills coupled with academic learning and research.
On successful completion of this program you will be able to function effectively and competently as an independent surgeon in any clinical setting.
Applicants will not be accepted into the programme unless they hold a full time post at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital
Consideration will be given to applicants whose home country guarantees funding of their salary

DM Part II- MEDC6621
MBBS or equivalent degree in Medicine
Successful completion of Internship
Full registration with the Medical Council of Barbados
