The Postgraduate Programmes in Digital Health and Innovation at Cave Hill were developed in response to the growing regional and global demand for professionals who can bridge the gap between health and technology. The first of their kind at The University of the West Indies, these programmes equip healthcare professionals, technology developers, entrepreneurs, and innovators with the advanced knowledge and practical skills required to lead digital transformation within healthcare systems.
The suite is designed as a stackable postgraduate pathway: students may complete:
the Postgraduate Certificate as a standalone qualification
ladder into the Postgraduate Diploma,
and progress to the MSc, which culminates in a supervised research thesis or interdisciplinary group project addressing a real-world digital health challenge.

The programme welcomes local, regional, and international students from medical and non-medical backgrounds, including health professionals, IT specialists, engineers, managers, entrepreneurs, and policymakers.
The Postgraduate Certificate may be completed as a standalone award or laddered into the Postgraduate Diploma and MSc. Electives are offered on rotation based on demand, and academic advising is provided to support students in selecting electives suited to their background and goals.
The Certificate comprises 12 credits: the 4 core courses
The Diploma comprises 24 credits: the 4 core courses plus 4 electives
The MSc programme comprises 36 credits: 4 core courses, 6 elective courses, and a Research Thesis/Group Project.

Financing
The Postgraduate Certificate, Postgraduate Diploma, and Master of Science (MSc) in Digital Health and Innovation are self-financed programmes for which the tuition fees are:
Postgraduate Certificate in Digital Health and Innovation (12 credits)
Postgraduate Diploma in Digital Health and Innovation (24 credits)
MSc in Digital Health and Innovation (36 credits)
Please note that the other annual University Fees are NOT included in the cost of the tuition fee.
The Postgraduate Certificate can be laddered into the Postgraduate Diploma, and the Diploma into the MSc, allowing students to build their qualification progressively.
