MOU UWI/ RL Seale and Co Ltd
The MOU between the Department of History and Philosophy, the University of the West Indies and RL Seale and Company Limited was signed on May 26, 2021 by Professor The Most Honourable V. Eudine Barriteau, Pro Vice-Chancellor and Principal of Cave Hill and Mr Richard Seale, Executive Chairman of RL Seale and Co. Ltd.
The MOU seeks to foster research on the social, economic, scientific and cultural aspects of the rum industry in the nineteenth and twentieth centuries.

Erasmus Mundas Joint Masters
The Department of History and Philosophy is collaborating with the University of Glasgow, Radboud University, Lisbon, Bonn, Nantes, to offer a
Masters in Reparatory Justice – Slavery, Forced Migration and Reparatory Justice (REPARA).
The UWI will host a Summer School at Cave Hill, Barbados, for 10-14 days in 2022. This will include teaching; tours to archives, museums, plantations and Great Houses, Windmills, rum distilleries, Newton slave burial ground and engagement with NGO’s.
