Applications for the special January 2025 intake for the MA Global African Studies are open to qualified
citizens of UWI Contributing Countries, and will automatically be considered for a full tuition scholarship. A separate scholarship application is not required.

Online applications through the standard Cave Hill Campus admissions portal are NOT valid for this special intake.
Step 2: Gather digital copies of all required documents

ALL applicants:
- Birth Certificate (certified or notarised copy)
- Curriculum Vitae
- Two (2) Referee reports (Click here to download the referee report form) (Reports should be academic where possible OR at least one (1) academic and one (1) professional)
- Professional Certificates/Diplomas (certified or notarised copy if not granted by the UWI)
- Marriage Certificate (where applicable) (certified or notarised copy)
- Legal Affidavit or deed poll if your present name is different from that on the Birth Certificate (certified or notarised copy)
Tertiary level transcripts are required from ALL non-UWI graduates:
These must be sent directly from the granting institution or forwarded from the World Education Services (WES) to Student Affairs, Admissions via email at
AdmFhePG@cavehill.uwi.edu. Student copies of transcripts will be accepted for the purpose of processing applications; however,
official transcripts must be provided before admission is confirmed.
Note: SUBMISSION OF DOCUMENTS
Supporting documents for applications to the MA Global African Studies (January 2025) must be certified/notarised by a justice of the peace, notary public, school principal or deputy principal, or any other agent authorised to certify official documents, and
must be submitted with the paper application form via email.
Where notarized documents are not immediately available, copies will be accepted for the purpose of processing applications. However,
admission will not be confirmed until notarized documents are provided.
Step 3: Pay the Application Fee
An application fee of BBD$30/USD$15 (citizens of
UWI contributing countries) and BBD$60/USD$30 (citizens of non-contributing countries) is payable.
