Biography:
Prior to joining Faculty, Dr. Leacock taught mathematics at a secondary school for 15 years.  She is a trained teacher, with additional training in remedial education.  Trained in quantitative and qualitative research methods, she joined the university as the Specialist in Research Methods and Testing and Measurement with the Education Evaluation Centre. In 2008, she joined the School where she teaches courses in mathematics education and research methods.

Dr. Leacock has conducted teacher education activities and research across the Eastern Caribbean, and has published in regional and international journals. She is currently the Chair of a Regional Working Group that is investigating student performance in mathematics at the Caribbean Secondary Education Certificate (CSEC) level.
