- Centre for English Language Learning is dedicated to providing customised training in English Language learning to institutions all over the world who want a certification in English as a Second Language (ESL).
- The Writing Clinic is available to all students who require support in writing projects, assignments, proposals, or in their general writing skills. The Clinic offers developmental as well as remedial support.
- Academic Literacies Programme has the important responsibility of leading students on their journey to becoming better writers. Through their courses, students learn highly valued writing skills that, when properly applied, bolster their academic performance and strengthen their compositions in professional settings.
Affiliated Institutions
There are also several other affiliated institutions which have links with the Faculty of Humanities and Education as follows:
- The Institute for Gender and Development Studies: Nita Barrow Unit aims to introduce an integrated, interdisciplinary programme in Gender and Development Studies, to include gender issues in the content of all disciplines at both the undergraduate and postgraduate levels, and to generate research data on women and gender-related issues in the Caribbean.
- Confucius Institute is a non-profit public educational organisation whose aim is to provide Chinese language and cultural training resources to non-Chinese speakers as well as to facilitate cultural and educational exchanges.
- Codrington College is the oldest Theological College in the Western hemisphere, and the oldest tertiary institution in the region. Through their affliation with the Faculty of Humanities and Educaiton you too can be a part of an outstanding tradition and Godly heritage.
