My experience at the University of the West Indies Cave Hill Campus, can be described as a bittersweet. My entry into this great institution was in August of 2019, as I was accepted to write for a Bachelor of Arts degree in Theology. Who would have thought that most of my university life, was going to be during a pandemic? My first semester at UWI was prior to the pandemic, and I enjoyed the interactive discussions in classes. When the pandemic came, studying became more complicated, as classes were moved from a face-to-face environment to an online platform. This transition was very challenging because learning online was testing, because you were at home with a variety of distractions. However, despite these challenges, I adapted to the change very quickly and became comfortable operating in an online environment. This whole experience caused me to have a more discipline approach. Another challenge was access to literature, as libraries were close, and I was forced to find other online means of getting material. My program overall, was very compact with relevant information, which assisted me to grasp a thorough understanding, of what Theology is all about. My lecturers were very competent in the subject areas in which they taught, that it was easy to gain an understanding, of the contents of each course. I would recommend anyone to pursue a degree at this phenomenal institution, as it offers some of the best university programmes. Currently, I am pursuing my ministerial formation at Codrington College, training for the sacred Priesthood. My goal after this is to pursue a higher level of education, to give back to the university, by being a lecture in the field of Theology.
