Teaching Areas:  
Kahiudi C. Mabana was born in Kimbau, DR Congo. He studied at the Major Seminary of Mayidi, DRC, the Pontifical Urbaniana University, Rome, and the University of Fribourg, Switzerland, from where he obtained his doctorate in French Language and Literature. He was a lecturer at the Institute for Asian and African Sciences, Humboldt University Berlin, before coming to Cave Hill in 2001.

Additional Information:
Professor Mabana was Coordinator of Modern Languages (2005-08), Chair of the Cave Hill Film Society (2005-09), Deputy Dean (Outreach) of the Faculty of Humanities and Education (2011-12), Head of LLL (2013-16). He initiated and co-organized with Dr. Constant the colloquiums on Léopold Sédar Senghor (2006), Aimé Césaire (2008) and Antillanité, Créolité, Littérature-Monde (2010). A playwright and director, he writes plays in French for the UWI Intercampus Theatre Festival.
