The Richard and Jeannette Allsopp Centre for Caribbean Lexicography is a research centre dedicated to producing and promoting dictionaries of Caribbean languages. Our publications have documented parts of all the official languages of the region, and we are actively broadening our scope even further. We encourage anyone visiting this page to contribute to this knowledge by using the link in our sidebar to tell us about a Caribbean word, expression or saying that they know and love. Whether you think it is old or new, widespread or niche, appropriate or taboo, we want to hear from you to get an accurate, unvarnished look at Caribbean languages.
We are located upstairs in the Alister McIntyre Building in the CARICOM Research Park of The University of the West Indies, Cave Hill Campus.
We are open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and though we encourage visitors to come by and visit, we would prefer for you to contact us and schedule an appointment.
