Biography: Carmen Céspedes Suárez holds a Bachelor's degree in Translation and Interpreting studies from the University of Granada, Spain. In 2013, she worked as Spanish Language Assistant in Scotland and then she moved to Seville in order to take two Master's degrees in Second Languages Acquisition.

Over the past years, she has gained experience as Spanish teacher working as Fulbright Teaching Assistant at the University of Scranton, in Pennsylvania as well as English teacher at several secondary schools in Spain.

Nowadays, she pursues a PhD at the University of Granada while she works as Spanish Lectora at the University of the West Indies in Barbados. She is interested in the Hispanic culture, intercultural competence acquisition together with the use of new technologies and games inside the classroom. 
Research: Fulbright Foreign Language Teaching Assistantship.

PhD research: 'Development and assessment of intercultural competence acquisition in the Caribbean context. Design of a formative course'.
