Research Areas
Her academic interests and research areas are Spanish language teaching and teacher training. She has collaborated in teacher training courses at The Universtiy of Leicester, Instituto Cervantes of Leeds (UK), Aimhigher Leeds (UK) and The Venezuelan Institute (Barbados)
She is also interested in the development of autonomous learning programmes, the implementation of reflective self-assessment practices in language learning and the development of technology-based materials for language teaching. She also acts as a practicum tutor and reviewer for the practicum report at the Master in Teaching Spanish as a Second Language at the International University Menendez Pelayo (Spain).
Teaching Areas
Ms. Paula González joined The University of West Indies in 2011 after having taught at the University of Leeds (UK), Instituto Cervantes of Leeds (UK) and The International University Menendez Pelayo (Spain), where she still collaborates on the Spanish Language & Culture summer courses.
