Tobias S. Buckell


Tobias BuckellCalled “violent, poetic and compulsively readable” by Maclean’s, science fiction author Tobias S. Buckell is a New York Times Bestselling writer and World Fantasy Award winner born in the Caribbean. He grew up in Grenada and spent time in the British and US Virgin Islands, and the islands he lived on influence much of his work.

His Xenowealth series begins with Crystal Rain. Along with other stand-alone novels and his almost one hundred stories, his works have been translated into twenty different languages. He has been nominated for awards like the Hugo, Nebula, World Fantasy, and the Astounding Award for Best New Science Fiction Author. His latest novel is A Stranger in the Citadel, an Audible Original free to anyone with an Audible account.

He currently lives in Bluffton, Ohio with his wife and two daughters, where he teaches Creative Writing at Bluffton University. He’s online at http://www.TobiasBuckell.com and is also an instructor at the Stonecoast MFA in Creative Writing program.
 


Cherie Jones


Cherie JonesCherie Jones is a writer, mom and lawyer from Barbados. She obtained her MA in Writing (with distinction) from Sheffield Hallam University where she was awarded the Archie Markham Award and the A.M Heath Prize. She is a past fellowship awardee of the Vermont Studio Centre. Her first novel 'How the One-Armed Sister Sweeps Her House' was a Good Morning America Book Club Pick in February, 2021 and is currently shortlisted for the Women's Prize for Fiction in the UK.'
 


 

R.S.A. Garcia


R.S.A. writes speculative fiction, and lives in Trinidad and Tobago with an extended family and too many cats and dogs. Her debut science fiction mystery novel, Lex Talionis, received a starred review from Publishers Weekly, the Silver Medal for Best Scifi/Fantasy/Horror Ebook from the Independent Publishers Awards (2015), and became an Amazon Bestseller. 
 
She has also published short fiction in international magazines such as Clarkesworld Magazine, Escape Pod and Internazionale Magazine. Her stories have twice been finalists for Clarkesworld Magazine's yearly Reader's Poll. Her novelette, The Sun From Both Sides, was included in Locus magazine's initial ballot for the 2020 Locus Awards. She has appeared in several anthologies, including the critically acclaimed The Best of World SF: Volume 1, The Best Science Fiction of the Year: Volume 4, The Apex Book of World SF: Volume 5 and Sunspot Jungle: Volume 2.
