  • Our scholars played a pivotal role in the major recent conference (Re)Thinking Caribbean Culture, the first of its kind devoted to Caribbean theory.
  • Post-colonial and Feminist approaches are just two of the many modern lenses through which our students learn to view and analyse texts.

Cultural Studies
  • the study of a variety of cultural forms, both 'high' and 'low,' has attracted the interest of our faculty members and students alike
  • includes the study of calypso and reggae
