The Richard and Jeannette Allsopp Centre for Caribbean Lexicography, in conjunction with the Department of Language, Linguistics and Literature, cordially invites you to the 11th Annual Richard Allsopp Memorial Lecture, as we continue to honour the remarkable legacy and contributions of Professor Richard Allsopp.
This year’s lecture, “Lexicographers’ Dreams and Nightmares in the Age of Artificial Intelligence”, will be delivered by Dr Joseph Farquharson of The UWI, Mona Campus. The event will take place on Friday, January 30, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. in the Law Lecture Theatre, Faculty of Law.
The lecture will also be livestreamed on Zoom for those unable to attend in person. We warmly invite you to join us on campus for this special occasion as we commemorate decades of Professor Allsopp’s influence on Caribbean lexicography and the study of language and culture.
Please see the attached flyer and feel free to share it widely.
