Bio

Katrina A. G. Welch is an ambitious and dedicated educator with over a decade of teaching experience. Beginning her teaching career in 2008 at the primary level, the skills harnessed were easily transferred to the world of business writing when her career transitioned to the media field in 2017. For just over four years, she used her talents to enlighten, educate and encourage readers. In 2020, she resumed her career in education as a Part-Time Instructor in the Academic Literacies Programme at the UWI. This strong, passionate and highly organised communications professional holds a Bachelor’ of Arts in Linguistics with Education and a Postgraduate Certificate in University Teaching and Learning from University of the West Indies, Cave Hill Campus, as well as a Master of Arts in Communications from Southern New Hampshire University. Currently, she serves as a full-time Instructor in the programme while steadfastly pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy in Linguistics.
