{"id":82,"date":"2021-04-07T06:38:26","date_gmt":"2021-04-07T10:38:26","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.cavehill.uwi.edu\/fhe-histphil\/regulations\/"},"modified":"2026-01-30T01:12:03","modified_gmt":"2026-01-30T05:12:03","slug":"regulations","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.cavehill.uwi.edu\/fhe-histphil\/students\/awards\/regulations\/","title":{"rendered":"Regulations"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"container-fluid page-wrapper\">\n<section>\n<div id=\"dept_content\">\n<div id=\"sub_content\" class=\"bodytext\">\n<div class=\"lc-block\">\n<div editable=\"rich\">\n<h1 class=\"page-header\">Award Regulations<\/h1>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>The Department has established a number of prizes which are intended to reward excellence and to stimulate industry among students.<br \/>\nThe Regulations governing the award of these prizes are as follows:<br \/>\n&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div class=\"lc-block\" editable=\"rich\">\n<ol>\n<li>The Prizes will be awarded to the best student in each level who reaches the required standard.<\/li>\n<li>All candidates for Departmental Prizes should achieve &#39;A&#39; standing in History or Philosophy courses in order to be eligible for awards.<\/li>\n<li>The Prizes will be awarded to the best student in two or more designated History or<\/li>\n<li>Philosophy Courses.<\/li>\n<li>Performances in HUMN3099\/PHIL3099 in History and Philosophy respectively may count towards award of the Prize at Level III; but in all such cases candidates will be eligible for the award of the Prize only if theyare registered for at least two (2) Level III History or Philosophy Courses.<\/li>\n<li>The Department of History and Philosophy will make recommendations for the award of the Prizes to Academic Board through the Faculty Board of Humanities &amp; Education.<\/li>\n<li>The Prizes will consist of book vouchers of a value of, at least, two hundred and fifty dollars (BDS$250.00).
