It examines qualitative research approaches such as phenomenology, ethnography, case study, narrative inquiry, arts-based, critical, and indigenous\/decolonizing methods. It explores philosophies of inquiry, data generation, and analysis approaches associated with qualitative inquiry, particularly alignment between philosophy of inquiry, approach, methods, and criteria for evaluation. Criteria for quality in qualitative research are also explored.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"lc-block\">\n<div editable=\"rich\">\n<h3>Statistical Methods (Intermediate)<\/h3>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"lc-block\" editable=\"rich\">\n<p>This course introduces participants to statistical methods for analysing quantitative data. It includes procedures such as Chi square goodness of fit test; Chi square test of independence; One-way analysis of variance (AVOVA) test; two-factor factorial ANOVA; Repeated Measures ANOVA; and simple and multiple regression.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"lc-block\">\n<div editable=\"rich\">\n<h3>Research Design (Basic-Intermediate)<\/h3>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"lc-block\" editable=\"rich\">\n<p>This course introduces participants to matters for consideration when designing and executing research. It covers areas such as formulating problem statements and research questions and hypotheses; review relevant literature; choosing a research design; sampling; data collection and analysis.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"lc-block\">\n<div editable=\"rich\">\n<h3>Program Evaluation (Basic)<\/h3>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"lc-block\" editable=\"rich\">\n<p>This course provides an introduction to program evaluation, including the basics of evaluation approaches and practices; tools and techniques used in evaluation; standards of quality for professional practice; evaluation ethics; impact of evaluation on decision making; appropriate evaluation uses, and the evaluation process<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"lc-block\">\n<div editable=\"rich\">\n<h3>Action Research for Classroom Teachers (Basic)<\/h3>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"lc-block\" editable=\"rich\">\n<p>This course introduces classroom teachers to foundations of action research.
