Interested in art, music or filmmaking?
We are inviting youth 18-29 years, who self-identify as Black of the African Diaspora, to be part of the “I Dream a World” project. You do not need to have special skills or knowledge to participate. You will participate in seven 2-hour art, music and filmmaking workshops with participants in Toronto and Barbados. You will receive $40 for each workshop attended. Workshops will be held between September 2025 and March 2026.
“I Dream a World” is an Afrofuturism project that studies the arts as a driver for social change. The project is grounded in reimaging a world in which Black people are leaders and Blackness is celebrated. This project is funded by the Canada Social Science and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC).
