• Can I check my account balance at any time?
Call or visit the office. Provide ID verification in the form of your government issued ID or passport and your account number which can be found on your statement.

• Can I get a loan for books and tuition?
Yes.... Loans for educational purposes are available to all members of the Credit Union.

• How can I make deposits?
• In person at the Credit Union
• By mail (with a signed letter accompanied by a cheque)
• Online (contact office for banking information)

• Can my family members join the Credit Union?
Membership is available to a relative of an employee, past employee, undergraduate or postgraduate student of the University.

• How do I withdraw funds?
• Download a Withdrawal Slip from this web site or pick it up at the Credit Union office, fill it in and sign it.
• Withdrawal slips can be emailed or dropped off at the Credit Union Office by 11am each day for processing.
• Cheques can be collected from the Credit Union office after 1pm.
• Cash withdrawals can be obtained up to $1,500.00 over the counter.
• Electronic Transfers - $1,500.00 or over (Indemnity Form to be completed).

• What is required to secure a loan?

The following types of security can be used when applying for a loan:

• Shares and Savings in the UWI (Cave Hill) Credit Union
• Shares in companies traded on the Barbados Stock Exchange
• Life Insurance Policy
• Mutual Funds
• Bills of Sale on motor vehicles
• For members, the deadline for loan applications is every Thursday by 12:00 noon.
