Student Notices

The following message was issued by the Campus Registrar, Mr. Rommel Carter.

According to the updated National Travel Protocols for Barbados, students travelling from The Bahamas, Jamaica as well as Trinidad and Tobago, will now be classified as high risk. Previously these countries were identified as medium or low risk jurisdictions.
Students from these countries are therefore advised that they should travel with their negative COVID-19 PCR test result. According to national guidelines, travellers will also be quarantined at a designated holding hotel or approved villa at their own expense, or free of charge at a government facility, and will be monitored daily for the onset of symptoms.  The most recent version (September 1st 2020) of the Barbados Government Travel advisory can be accessed at:
Students from medium and high risk countries will NOT be allowed on Campus until they have cleared all national health protocols and are certified by the Campus’ Medical Officer. They should therefore email all documents (e.g. clearance certificate from the Ministry of Health and Wellness) to with COVID-19 Clearance in the Subject line BEFORE returning to Campus.  Students should not proceed to Campus until they have had this clearance.
These measures are to protect you and every member of the Campus community, and to ensure we maintain a safe and healthy campus environment. We understand your anxiety and are here to assist your settling in after you have produced clearance of your second negative PCR test from the Ministry of Health and Wellness.
Failure to follow these guidelines will constitute misconduct and disciplinary action may be brought against the student.
