MISSION STATEMENT:
The UWI Solutions Centre is committed to fulfilling the needs of its clients by providing the best experience through it meeting rooms, pavilion and conference facilities.
The Solutions Centre was funded by a donation from Shell Trading (Caribbean) Ltd and was officially opened on November 22, 1966. This facility was first known as the Shell Suite which housed only one small conference room and six studio rooms which provide overnight accommodation for visiting UWI personnel. In 2004 the first floor of the facility was refurbished through the generous support of the First Caribbean International Bank. On July 28, 2006 a plaque was unveiled which highlights the contributions made by the First Caribbean International Bank. The facility was then renamed The Solutions Centre.
In addition to the conference suites the Solutions Centre offers:
- Wireless connectivity
- A lounge
- An enclosed terrace
- Air-conditioned dining area that seats twenty-five persons
All suites have access to audio visual equipment with wireless connectivity.
