Mr. Dale Benskin

Information Technology Technician

Department: CERMES

Dale Benskin is the resident Information Technology Technician for CERMES. He is responsible for the CERMES computer lab facilities, internal network infrastructure, server resources and website maintenance. In essence, he is a one man I.T department. He is also the Safety Officer for the CERMES building. As the first point of contact for all I.T related issues within CERMES, he provides technical support to staff, students and CERMES sponsored conferences/workshops.

When CERMES is engaged in multi-disciplined projects, which require technology related components/deliverables, Dale is consulted and provides guidence to the project team. Dale has a keen interest in new technologies and finding ways to use them to enhance the lives of the people he comes in contact with.

Due to his placement in CERMES, he is occasionally deployed as a field technician to assist with student training exercises, data gathering missions with Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) and Scuba diving activities.
