Theme: Shifting paradigms on drones for environmental resilience
Call for Registration (deadline: January 15, 2025)
- Do you use drones?
- Do you plan to use drones in your operations?
- Do you have an interest in the use of drones for commercial or any civilian purpose in the Caribbean?
If yes, then you are cordially invited to register for the inaugural Caribbean Drone Symposium. Drones (or unmanned aerial systems, UAS) have become versatile platforms and tools for remote monitoring of the environment and Earth's surface. Drones are also being increasingly used in many other civilian applications such as aerial photography and videography, public safety, search and rescue, utility management, and disaster response.
With support from the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), through the “Project for Improving National Capacities for Management of Sargassum”, the Centre for Resource Management and Environmental Studies (CERMES) is hosting the inaugural Caribbean Drone Symposium.
