This course is a combination of the English as a Second Language (ESL) and the principles and practices of sustainable destination management.

Learning Objectives

On successful completion of this course participants will be able to:

  • Describe the tourism system
  • Explain its relevance and relationship to the management of destinations
  • Evaluate various impacts (economic, social, cultural and environmental) on the destination
  • Assess the various stakeholder relationships
  • Examine risks and crises
  • Decide on best tools to monitor the tourism industry in a country

Individuals currently working in the toursim sector or have worked in the tourism field for two years or more.
