Scholarships, Bursaries and Grants

 
The Office of Business Development wishes to inform you of the following scholarship opportunities for the 2023-2024 UWI academic year. Please see attached the flyers for each scholarship and a synopsis regarding these scholarships below.

1. CIBC FCIB Colette Delaney Scholarships - Four scholarships, each valued at US$3,000 a year for up to three years are available to any new female UWI student at any UWI Campus pursuing Accounting and Finance, Banking and Finance, Economics and Accounting, Economics and Management, Management, Innovation and Entrepreneurship or equivalent undergraduate programmes. 
 
2. RBC Royal Bank Scholarships - 10 scholarships valued at US$3,000 are available to nationals of Barbados who are new or continuing students admitted to pursue undergraduate studies in Management Studies, Finance or Economics. GPA of 3.0 or higher is required. Previous RBC Royal Bank Scholarship awardees are eligible to reapply. Each award is for a period of one year.

3. CIBC First Caribbean International Bank Scholarships - Twelve one-year undergraduate scholarships are available to students in any discipline and at any Campus of the The University of the West Indies. Each scholarship is valued at US$2,500. Previous CIBC FCIB Scholarship awardees are eligible to reapply. 

4. Barbados Hotel and Tourism Association (BHTA) Tourism Development Scholarships - Two scholarships valued US$2,000 each, open to nationals of Barbados who are pursuing full-time or part-time undergraduate studies in the BSc Hospitality and Tourism Management at The UWI, Cave Hill Campus. 
One Scholarship valued at US$6,000 over three years, open to nationals of Barbados who are pursuing full-time or part-time undergraduate studies in BSc International Tourism Management at The UWI, Cave Hill Campus.

5. The Deloitte Excellence Award - The Toppin Walker Scholarship - One scholarship open to new students at The UWI, Cave Hill Campus admitted to pursue full-time or part-time studies in the Faculty of Social Sciences. Matriculation with an Associate Degree in Financial Accounting with a GPA of 3.5 or higher is required. The value of this one-year scholarship is US$2,500.

6. The Jeremy M. Nurse Scholarship - This scholarship is open to part-time or full-time Levels Two and Three students at the Cave Hill Campus, reading for an undergraduate degree in the Faculty of Science and Technology. Applicants should be able to demonstrate evidence of critical strategic and analytical thinking abilities and have a keen interest in problem-solving and capacity for developing innovative solutions. This one-year scholarship is valued at US$4,000.
