Science: Lessons and Opportunities for the Caribbean and Beyond<\/h1>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cavehill.uwi.edu\/biosecurity\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/57\/News-Special-Events\/Webinars\/Quarterly-Lecture-Series\/Optimized-CBS-Climate-change-new-v3.jpg?lang=en-GB\"><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Optimized-CBS-Climate-change-new-v2.jpg\" src=\"https:\/\/www.cavehill.uwi.edu\/biosecurity\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/57\/News-Special-Events\/Webinars\/Quarterly-Lecture-Series\/Optimized-CBS-Climate-change-new-v2.jpg\" style=\"float: right;\" title=\"Optimized-CBS-Climate-change-new-v2.jpg\" \/><\/a>The Centre for Biosecurity Studies (CBS) in collaboration with the United States Geological Survey (USGS) Caribbean-Florida Water Science Center hosted a lunchtime lecture on Wednesday, April 21st, 2021, under the theme <em>&#39;Climate Change-focused Hydrologic Monitoring and Science: Lessons and Opportunities for the Caribbean and Beyond&#39;.<\/em> The lecture took the format of a Zoom webinar, given the COVID-19 protocols, and was delivered by Director of the USGS Center, Dr. David Sumner.<\/p>\n<p>Present were professionals across the climate, agricultural, legal, finance and political fields &#8211; representing public and private sector organizations across the Caribbean, with particular interests in the current and future effects of climate change on their respective countries.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Chaired and Moderated by the CBS&#39;s Operations Manager &#8211;
