Barbados&rsquo; National Disaster Office.<br \/>\n&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div>He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Sociology and Psychology from the University of the West Indies, a Master of Science Degree in Risk, Crisis and Disaster Management from the University of Leicester and a Professional Diploma in Project Management from Cambridge University.<\/div>\n<div>&nbsp;<\/div>\n<p>Captain Harewood has professional training and certification in Damage Assessment &amp; It noted that Biosecurity was of concern for the Centre for Disease Control (CDC), as contaminated drinking water and reduced access to safe water, food, and shelter in some areas, had the potential to create conditions for outbreaks of infectious diseases such as leptospirosis, dengue, hepatitis A, typhoid, Zika, and influenza.<\/div>\n<div>&nbsp;<\/div>\n<p>As the government department with responsibility for coordinating the National Emergency Management System (NEMS), the issue of biosecurity rests well within our area of concern, with the Health Services Sub-Committee of the NEMS directly responsible for its mitigation, preparedness and response interventions.&nbsp;
