The Centre for Biosecurity Studies (CBS) UWI, recently finalized an agreement with the Barbados Water Authority (BWA) marked by the signing of a contract to facilitate specialized training of 500 BWA employees.

Titled ‘Water Sector Resilience Nexus for Sustainability in Barbados (WSRN-S) Training’ and funded via a US$100,000.00 grant through the Green Climate Fund of the Caribbean Community Climage Change Center (5Cs), the 20-month long training exercise will be led and facilitated by CBS’s Director, Dr. Kirk Douglas in collaboration with Dr. Karl Payne, Lecture, Water Resource Management in the Center for Resource Management and Environmental Studies (CERMES).
