The first of three virtual Panel Discussions addressing the key research areas around the Caribbean Wildlife Initiative aptly titled: Catch Me If You Can!, was hosted on Thursday, February 11^th, 2021 via Zoom.

Aimed at highlighting the current legal framework attributed to wildlife trading and consumption across the region, the webinar session activated dialogue amongst widely versed professionals who are eager to see holistic improvements to the policies governing wildlife in their respective countries, and the wider Caribbean.

The Panel included Ms. Shamini Jayanathan - Senior Prosecutor Advisor, UNODC; Ms. Sofie H. Flensborg - Legal Advisor, CITES Secretariat; Mr. Andrew Dalip - Environmental Attorney & AML Specialist and Dr. WIlliam Scott Grob, Director (Americas), ACAMS. The session was moderated by the CBS's Director - Dr. Kirk Douglas.

Come join us as we discuss how wildlife management, border security, international trade, financial management [anti-money laundering (AML), FATF rules, EU blacklisting] and legal/judicial fields all intersect to contribute to understanding more and most importantly stamping out this transnational organized crime (TNOC) of IWT and wildlife crime in the Caribbean.
