Supported by the
research agenda, the Centre will also focus on the following five (5) areas:
- Training: through professional development workshops, seminars and certificate courses and degree programmes,
- Community Awareness: through community engagement activities including sensitizing school children to possible careers in biosecurity,
- Consultant Research: generating data, providing analysis and guidance to key stakeholders,
- Policy Advocacy: provide policy advice and analysis; and engage with leaders on national policy, laws, rules and regulations and their enforcement,
- Stakeholder Collaboration: bring the varied stakeholders of biosecurity governance together through events that will facilitate cooperation and successful implementation of biosecurity plans.
