The Centre for Biosecurity Studies (CBS) in collaboration with the United States Geological Survey (USGS) Caribbean-Florida Water Science Center hosted a lunchtime lecture on Wednesday, April 21st, 2021, under the theme 'Climate Change-focused Hydrologic Monitoring and Science: Lessons and Opportunities for the Caribbean and Beyond'. The lecture took the format of a Zoom webinar, given the COVID-19 protocols, and was delivered by Director of the USGS Center, Dr. David Sumner.

Present were professionals across the climate, agricultural, legal, finance and political fields - representing public and private sector organizations across the Caribbean, with particular interests in the current and future effects of climate change on their respective countries. 

Chaired and Moderated by the CBS's Operations Manager - Ms. Christianne Walcott, attendees seized the opportunity to pose a number of burning questions to Dr. Sumners, thereby complimenting his in-depth presentation with more island-focused queries. 

Prior to the culmination of the session, attendees were invited to complete a short poll, intended to provide valuable feedback into interested topics for future sessions, and their appetite for associated professional short courses via the CBS.
