The Department of History and Philosophy, Faculty of Humanities and Education, Cave Hill Campus in collaboration with The Nation Publishing Company Limited invites you to the 35th Annual Elsa Goveia Lecture which will be hosted via Zoom.


The lecture will be delivered by Professor Emeritus Pedro Welch on the topic: Preference for the Complexion that is Tinged with a little bit of the Olive: Free Coloured Women and Room-to-Manoeuvre Options in 18th and 19th Century Barbados.
