The Faculty of Law, The UWI, Cave Hill is pleased to announce the forthcoming lecture in its Working Paper Series.

On September17 | 2.00 p.m. AST, Dr. Asya Ostroukh, Senior Lecturer in Law at The University of the West Indies, Cave Hill Campus will deliver the lecture titled: “Kelsen in the Grenada Court”, Simeon McIntosh’s Contribution to the Understanding of Kelsen’s Revolutionary Legality.   

The paper focuses on the interpretation of Kelsen’s theory of revolutionary legality undertaken by the famous Commonwealth Caribbean jurisprudential thinker Simeon McIntosh, who explored possible application of Kelsen’s theory of law and revolution to the Grenadian case Andy Mitchell et al v. Attorney General and Director of Public Prosecutions (1986).
