Former Chief Justice Sir Marston Gibson Goes Platinum

Nearly forty-five years after Sir Marston Gibson, the former Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Barbados, graduated from Cave Hill, he remains a committed Blackbird.
To support his alma mater, Sir Gibson has donated $10,000 to our Law Beautification Project. His generous donation is the largest we have received to date.

Conceptualised by fellow Cave Hill graduate, Ashleigh-Ann Dussard, the beautification project will embellish our Faculty with murals, a new deck and awning and, of course, our stunning donor wall. Sir Marston’s donation has earned him a wonderful platinum brick, to memorialise his name and his contribution in posterity.

Future Cave Hill students will appreciate that our roots deep, stretching across generations of Blackbirds.
And this is not farewell for the newly-retired Chief Justice. Sir Marston is discussing with the Dean, Dr. Mohsen al Attar, returning to the Faculty as a part-time lecturer. If were lucky, he might just bring his guitar when he does.
No donation is too small nor too large and all are encouraged to support the project. Please make your donation here. Prospective legacy donors are encouraged to contact the Faculty of Law directly at
